Covenant of Mercy International Bible Church, a vibrant, Christ-centered, congregation-led church that meets in North York Ontario, is seeking a Lead Pastor. Our longstanding Pastor will be retiring as of September, 2024, ideally, we would like the vacancy filled by that date.

We are looking for a relational pastor who loves God and cares for followers of Christ deeply.
value and encourage evangelism efforts individually and collectively through various outreach initiatives. We invite people to engage in different ministries within the church and in the community. Through bible studies, youth group activities, and home small groups, we encourage congregants in discipleship and growth in their faith. We endeavor to have a contemporary worship style blending traditional hymns and current worship songs.

Requirements:

1. A personal and enthusiastic relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord
2. Calling from God into full-time ministry
3. A consistent spiritual walk outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9
4. A graduate degree or higher from seminary.

General Job Description:

1. Shepherd the congregation providing visionary and spiritual leadership.
2. Report to the Elders and Deacons board who represent the congregation.
3. Fulfill pulpit ministries – preaching and teaching on Sundays and other special worship services.
4. Oversee small groups and pastoral care for our church and community.
5. Develop and disciple lay ministry leaders.
